SPIC MACAY

A spectacular presentation was given by classical vocalist Kumar Mardur, a renowned Hindustani Classical Vocalist. Inspired by the rigorous training of his father, Kumar emerged as one of the finest musicians of our country. A lot many accolades have been conferred on Kumar for his outstaning performances. It was a thrilling performance to watch and a source of inspiration for children.

The dramatic performance was witnessed by Sanskarians, faculty staff, and Coordinators. Principal Dr. Prabha Sharma, Senior Administrator were among those present at this juncture. The programme culminated with vote of thanks by Dr. Sharma.

Mock Election

A mock election was organised for students of classes IX and X with a view to apprise them with the whole process of exercising their franchise. Polling booths were installed. Students were made to understand how the voting machine is to be used and how the ink is to be put on the finger. This inspired the students to learn the process of voting.
The mock election was a step towards enlightening the students towards the democratic procedure. Also discussions done on the election system in other countries.
This activity enlightened the boys and girls and made them contemplative. Students can harness their talent if an international platform is developed for their development.

QUIZ - Conservation of wild life

On 17th November,2016, 'Conservation of Wild Life" Quiz programme was organised for students of classes VI to VIII. It was divided into four teams named Annamalai Sanctuary, Periyaar Sanctuary, Bandipur Sanctuary and Sessangir Sanctuary.Many rounds took place on subject related questions. Some students came in wild life dresses who appeared to everyone to conserve wild life. In this quiz competition Bandipur Sanctuary representing Tulsi House was declared first.
The school managerMr. Mukesh Mehta declared the names of winners. The chief guest Sh. Bhanwar Singh Rathore informed the students that he himself is associated with various wild life conservation organizations and plantation programmes. This is life process of nature. Trees, plants, animals and birds are very essential on earth. Without them human being cannot be exist. He guided the students and encouraged them for tree plantation and wild life conservation. The school Principal, Dr. Prabha Sharma advocated the importance of "British Council" collaborative activities and informed the students to be aware of their fundamental right to keep the environmental harmony.

Quiz

On concluding day i.e. Wednesday a quiz competition was organised. The chief guests of the programme were Dr. Kavita Kachhawaha, Manager Mukesh Mehta and Senior Administrator Mrs. Swati Mehta. The programme was efficiently coordinated by Mrs. Deepti Mutha, Mrs. Pramila Chhangani and all teachers. The competition was conducted at various levels like ? Don?t wait, prepare the balanced plate, Audio/Visual round ?passing question round and ?Rapid Fire Round? All the candidates participating in the competition perspired hard and displayed unprecedented enthusiasm. The activity was divided into four Groups, Group ?A? ?Protein? was declared victorious.
Lastly School Principal Dr. Prabha Sharma appreciated the efforts of the students in organizing the International activity which contributed immensely in the development of personality and knowledge of students.

Republic Day Celebration

Republic Day Despite heavy rain which continued till late morning, the enthusiasm of Republic Day celebration could not be affected. The function was celebrated in the central lawn of school with music, patriotic songs and patriotic speeches with much fervour. The chief guest honourable Vijay Mehta hoisted the National flag. In his message to children he exhorted to live a disciple life, which alone can make the future. Children presented patriotic songs. Some students gave speeches on the importance of Republic day and our national heroes. Principal Dr. Prabha Sharma expressed her good wishes on this occasion. The manager Mr. Mukesh Mehta, Swati Mehta (Sr. Administrator) and dignitaries were present to witness the occasion. The programme was concluded by national anthem followed by distribution of sweets.

Junior Annual Athletic Sports Meet 2016-17

The students of junior classes i.e. Primary wing jubilantly participated in annual sports meet and displayed their ability and agility. The students of class I to V were put to te4st their physical fitness, stamina and smartness. Among the activities that took place were Vegetable Race, Balloon Bursting (Class I), Cloth Hanging and Ball Carrying Race (Class II), Ball Carrying Race and 50 mtr. Race (Class III), Hurdle Race and 50 mtr. Race (Class IV A + B), 100 mtr. Race, Relay Race and Sack Race (Class V). These sports activities were monitored by Mr. Dharmendra Singh Bhati, Mr. Gopal Singh and Mr. Dilip Sharma. The names of the winners were declared subsequently.

3rd Feb was marked with prize distribution ceremony in Sanskar?s middle lawn. The activities comprised of Best out of Waste Competition, English Recitation Hindi Recitation, Poster Making Competition and lastly Poetry Writing Competition. The participants in these activities ranged from class Ist to Vth children. The activity was aimed at bringing out the creative and hidden talent of children and to make them confident and get rid of speaking fear. Prizes and certificates were distributed by Manger Mukesh Mehta and Senior Administrator Swati Mehta. Principal Dr. Prabha Sharma was present on this occasion to boost the morale of children.

Farewell Bid by Sanskarians An emotion packed farewell was accorded to the students of class XII by their juniors. The seniors were honoured with Tilak. The students displayed tremendous passion through cultural activities. The programme took place in beautiful Lariya Resort. Vishika, Shreya and Sakshi delivered welcome speeches to mark the occasion. The school manager Mukesh Mehta and Principal Dr. Prabha Sharma wished the students to perform well in the Board Exams and expressed their good wishes. They exhorted the students to look forward in life and refrain from looking back. The success is at hand if pursued sincerely. The seniors also wished a bright future to the juniors. Mr. Chayan Sharma and Miss Dikshita Moondra of class XII were chosen Mr. and Miss Sanskar. They were honoured with crown. The outgoing seniors talked about their school days and thanked the teachers for their valuable guidance.

Makar Sakranti mingled with British Council CollaborativeActivity

Makar Sakranti mingled with British Council Collaborative Activity Sanskarians enjoyed Makar Sakranti festival with various British Council Collaborative activities. Kite flying was the center of attraction. Kites of various colours were flown by boys and girls of all the four houses. Tremendous joy and happiness could be witnessed on the hill surrounded lush green lawn of Sanskar International School. The students were allowed full freedom by their teachers to fly kites in the manner they liked. The whole display was focused on the significance of Makar Sakranti. This activity engendered the spirit of competitiveness. The day of Sankranti is dedicated to Lord Surya. The day is significant because the sun enters Makar Rashi. In most regions Sankranti lasts for two to four days. Makar Sankranti is one of the few festivals which are celebrated throughout India, unanimously. Numerous rituals are followed during Sankranti. These rituals vary from state to state and region to region.

Sanskar Carnival

Sanskar Carnival 24 December, a gala day and a day of rejoicing, playing games at various stalls and counters well decorated with thunderous music of DJ, singers and dancers. A panaromic view to watch, on umbrella shaped top of the counters in multifarious colours enhanced the lush green beauty of Sanskar lawn. Opening of the FETE took place with the arrival of honourable Vijay Mehta accompanied by Principal Dr. Prabha Sharma. They visited all the counters and were greeted with smile and reverence. There were as many as 20 stalls beginning from Kashmir to Kanya Kumari, the whole gamut of different cultures could be witnessed at one place. It seemed that whole India is wrapped up in a small space. There was a grand display of Christmas carol on elevated platform in the middle of the Sanskar lawn symbolizing 25th December as Christmas day. FETE festivity mingled with Christmas festival enhanced the joy of children. The beauty of the stalls lied in the fact that different stalls represented different states and the staff handling the stalls were attired in the particular dress of the state looked like symbol of that state. This was a presentation of unity in diversity. The diversified cultures of India looked like one nation and this was also the notion of FETE. At the closing of the Fete, the winners of lucky draw coupon were declared by Manager Mukesh Mehta. The winners were Vedanta Chudawat (First), Kanika Vyas (Second) and Karan Choudhary (Third). The carnival was successfully conducted, monitored under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Prabha Sharma. She thanked all the staff members for their hard work and cooperation.

Enthusiastic and thrilling performances by young Toddlers of Sanskar on celebration of Janmasthami was an occasion to reckon with. Prizes, medals and certificates were distributed to bubbling children of Nursery, KG and Prep by Principal Dr. Prabha Sharma and Senior Administrator Swati Mehta as a token of encouragement. The class teachers of PP Wing, Manju Sharma, Mamta Parihar and Anjana Chouhan were present on the occasion of prize distribution ceremony to witness smiling toddlers of PP Wing.

Meritorious Star Performers- Academic & National Sports Achievers Prize Distribution Ceremony

A colourful and vivacious prize distribution ceremony was organised in the bright sunlight of hill surrounded Sanskar lawn. Amidst thunderous clapping and a thrilling applause prizes were distributed to students who secured 10 CGPA during session 2015-16 followed by West Zone Judo Championship winners, National Level Judo Championship, Khelo India Khelo Tournament, State Level Skating Tournament, State Level Table Tennis Tournament, Sub-Junior Annual Sports Meet 2016-17, Soft Board Decoration Competition. Houses that were declared I, II & III were Tilak, Nehru and Tulsi respectively.
Sanya Khan of class IX B was honoured by best student award. The meritorious prizes were conferred by Manager Mukesh Mehta, Senior Administrator Swati Mehta, Principal Dr. Prabha Sharma and coordinators of Sanskar International School. The entire event was anchored by efficient Shikha Nigam.

Academic Co-curricular Prize Distribution Ceremony

In keeping with the tradition and to boost the morale of students of higher classes various competitions were held in the central lawn of Sanskar. An opportunity was created for students to give vent to their inner feelings and to help develop their latent faculties.
The focus of the activities was Inter House English Extempore Competition which threw an opportunity to express original ideas. Among the various activities that took place were Sanskrit shloka and couplet competition, Inter House song competition, English debate competition, poster making completion and slogan writing competition.
To bring out the literary talent of students English poetry recitation, dance, Hindi extempore, Hindi debate, Essay writing and Maths Quiz competition were conducted with a view to harness multiple talent of students.
The prizes were distributed for best performance and to enable the viewers to prepare themselves and also to draw inspiration from performers. The activities were concluded by prize distribution by Principal Dr. Prabha Sharma, Sr. Administrator Swati Mehta and Sr. Coordinator Deepti Mutha and Jr. Coordinator Pramila Chhangani.

Inter House Football Competition in Sanskar

It has been rightly said that ?Unhealthy body cannot house a healthy mind?. Hence games and sports go hand in glove with studies. There is no denying the fact that vigorous games inspire and prepare students for vigorous studies.
Keeping in view this spirit Inter House Football Competition was organised in the school. Tagore House was declared triumphant over Tulsi House with 3 goals to 2. Semi final between Tilak and Tulsi and Tagore and Nehru House ended in the victory of Tulsi and Tagore House.
In the final match Karan Singh scored one goal after five minutes Dinesh Dhayal took the tally to two goal and pushed the team towards victory. Immediately after Karan Singh scored the third goal and ascertained the victory. Darshil Mehta and Yogesh Mehta did their best boot of no avail. In the concluding moments of match, there was lack of coordination in Tulse House and Tagore House prevailed.
Senior Administrator Mrs. Swati Mehta and Principal Dr. Prabha Sharma encouraged the students, got their introduction and exhorted that games contribute largely to the development of mind and intellect. Kartik Bhati of class X gave a live commentary of the game. Mr. Dilip Sharma and Dharmendra Singh were the judges on this occasion.

Graduation Day Celebration

Graduation Day began with symbolic lamp lighting by Dr. Prabha Sharma and Senior Administrator Mrs. Swati Mehta followed by Saraswati Vandana by a group of teachers. The programme initiated with the opening speech by Mrs. Renu Gehot who gave a panoramic assessment and evaluation of the school activities. Addressing the large gathering of parents and children she pointed out the main features of the school and spoke at length how children are groomed in the school. Children too displayed their talent by singing Hindi and English rhymes in a beautiful manner which won the applause of their parents. Since it was a convocation day, therefore children who were upgraded to class Ist were distributed degrees on promotion by reverend Manager Mukesh Mehta. It was indeed splendid to look at the solemnity of the occasion. Our learned faculty Mrs. Manju Sharma who is responsible for handling pre-primary classes presented a subtle view about the pre-primary children and told the success story of little buds. The programme was concluded by inspiring words of Principal mam Dr. Prabha Sharma.

Swimming Activity in Sanskar

Children of PP Wing were very much excited to participate in swimming activity conducted at Lariya Swimming Pool. The activity thrilled the children as they were escorted by expert swimming coach. It was pleasant to look at children in a variety of colourful costumes. It appeared as if they had proceeded on an adventure. The children were motivated to become good swimmer which they can learn by practice and performance. Swimming can embolden them to face the water hazards. Apart from this it was explained that swimming is the best exercise and can help them overcome physical ailments. It was a diversion from class room study and children enjoyed the company of nature.

Through Orange Activity the vision and concept of children about
orange was enlarged. The children were familiarized with the colour,
taste, trails and shape of Orange. The activity was highlighted through
objects like orange candy, juice etc, the activity was given a concrete
shape by colouring orange candy in the class room.
The children dipped their palm in orange colour in splash pool. The
children enjoyed the activity with intensity.

Visit to Lariya Organic Farm House

Sanskarians of class Nursery, KG & Prep were accompanied with teachers to organic farm house of Lariya in the vicinity of Lariya Resort. The idea was to acquaint the children with organic farming. The teachers Manju Sharma, Mamta Parihar and Anju Chouhan escorting the children gave a vivid description of various vegetables like cabbage, cauliflower, tomato, mint, spinach, Coriander, Brinjal & Lady Finger. They explained to children how the vegetable grows and the care taken during the process of growing. The hygienic value of vegetables was also clarified as there is no use of chemicals in the organic farming. The children also came to know how these vegetable product ultimately reach market for sale. The whole team was led by Mrs. Swati Mehta (Coordinator P.P. Wing)

Fun & Frolic Activity at Lariya

Fun & Frolic Activity at Lariya In accordance with the programme on 18th Nov. chalked out by PP Wing Coordinator Swati Mehta, fun and frolic event was organised at Lariya Resort. The families of all the Sanskarian kids were intimated on a colourful card highlighting the events taking place. Children from Nursery to IInd participated in the celebration and enjoyed the event. Children were overjoyed and there was no limit to their exaltation because the event included camel cart ride, Horse/buggie ride, Bouncy, Magic show, puppet show. Apart from this the children relished yummy food which comprised fruit punch, ice cream, pasta, French fries, pizza and pav bhaji. As the saying goes – “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”. The scenario elevated the children and made them fresh and cheerful. They also enjoyed luscious preparation. This change had a tremendous psychological impact on the mind of children and prepared them for concentrating on class room study with greater vigour.

Kabbadi Veteran in Sanskar

International fame Kabbadi player Mohit Chiller gave appearance in Sanskar International School and was face to face with students, while addressing the students he explained the physical & mental importance of games and sports. He apprised the children that Kabbadi is a very ancient game. This game not only gives physical exercise but helps you in concentration of mind. He added that he started his career from a small village near Delhi. His family supported him and encouraged him to master the game. He said that good number of boys used to play Kabbadi. He advised the children to focus on studies too. He encouraged children to highlight India’s name at International level. He prayed for best performance of Indian team at Olympics. Manager Mukesh Mehta honoured Mohit Chiller by offering him bunch of flowers and memento. The Principal Dr. Prabha Sharma expressed thanks for devoting valuable time and encouraging children towards Kabbadi.

CBSE West Zone Judo Championship 2016-17

Sanskar International School, Jodhpur heralded the opening of CBSE West Zone Judo Championship today on 21.10.2016. Mayor Ghanshyam Ojha and Divisional Commissioner Ratan Lahoti were present to grace the occasion. White pigeon & ballons were flown by the Mayor of Jodhpur Municipal Corporation symbolizing peace and prosperity. After observing the formality of lamp lighting and mantra recitation, CBSE flag was hoisted by Ratan Lahoti (D.C.) followed by national anthem. A welcome address was delivered by Principal Dr. Prabha Sharma which was followed by welcome song and Ganesh Stuti. Dadaji Hanwant Raj Mehta encouraged Judo participants in a poetic manner and won the applause. Dadaji commented that games and sports should be played in its true spirit and not with animosity. A grand Navras performance enhanced the magnitude of the occasion in which different rasas were presented. Rajasthan folk dance (Moruda) attracted the attention of the august gathering. Prizes were distributed by Mayor Ghanshyam Ojha escorted by Manager and Principal of the school. The Mayor addressed the gathering and emphasized that each one of us must contribute to the “Swacha Abhiyan” launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The chief guest declared opening of Judo Championship 2016-17 and oath taking ceremony was observed in his presence. The programme was concluded by vote of thanks by Principal Dr. Prabha Sharma.

P.P. Wing Celebrates “Green Day”

The kids of entire P.P. Wing Celebrated “Green Day” on 21.09.2016 attired in a variety of colourful dresses, displayed their talent and delivered green day messages like “Don’t Cut Trees” Save Environment and save world. Some children appeared like water melon, green tree, grapes, parrot dinosaur and Christmas tree. To encourage the children the teacher distributed craft items for their excellent performance. The children looked cheerful and derived enjoyment at the end.

Fancy Dress Competition & Janmashtmi Celebration

PP Wing Fancy Dress Competition was held in the school campus. Classes Nursery, KG and Prep participated in the competition. Mrs. Asha Kothari and Mrs. Pramila Chhangani were appointed judges to decide the winner and runner. Director Mr. T.C. Kothari and Manager Mr. Mukesh Mehta, Principal Dr. Prabha Sharma and Sr. administrator Mrs. Swati Mehta were present to encourage the children. Along with it Krishna Janmashtmi celebration were enacted by blooming buds of classes I & II. A beautiful dance performance was presented by blooming kids of class I & I and ‘Dahi Handi’ / pyramid formation was performed by the children under the guidance of Ms. Bhanupriya, Mrs. Saroj Kanwar, Ms. Cheshta Trivedi and Mrs. Vishalakshi Bissa.

Today the Independence day celebration was very unique and incredible. After flag hoisting by honourable Dadaji Hanwant Raj Mehta, the investiture ceremony took place. A grand March past with guard of honour followed subsequently. The scenario was thrilling and patriotic emotion packed. The dance performance by Children followed by display of physical exercises with latthi Skill was centre of attraction. The Focus of attention was on speeches delivered by honourable Dadaji and Sri Ramanand Kabra. Dadaji inspired children in a poetic manner where as Kabra sir motivated the children with live incidents and encouraged them to do better in life to achieve the goal. The programme was concluded by the principal Dr. Prabha Sharma by enlightening the students on national heros and their heroic deeds. The whole programmed was imbibed with National spirit.

Inter House Skit Competition

Inter House English Skit Competition was held in the school premises for classes IV to VI. The competition was based on mythological theme. Tulsi House dramatized the skit on the theme of Raksha Bandhan, which lasted 8 to 10 minutes and declared 1st. Nehru House chose the theme of eternal friendship of Lord Krishna and Sudama and stood 2nd. Both the houses made good attempts and won the applause respectively.

Rain Activity

Rainy season is in full swing. The children of class II & III participated in Cloud Formation Activity. It was explained to them how the clouds form and ultimately result into reason. It is only during rainy season that we witness 7 coloured rainbow. “Rainbow comes and goes and happy is the rose”. The children were familiarized with the importance of colourful umbrella and rain coats and its utility during rainy season.

Home Decor Activity

Home Decor Activity: Junior Group In this week “Home Decor Activity” took place in the school. The children of class Nursery to III participated in the Activity under the junior category. This activity comprised of a demo of a well decorated house. One could visualize a living room, bedroom, worship place, dining hall and kitchen. The children were made to understand different names of items displayed and its use. Children were made familiar with different articles and this increased their word power. The whole activity was conducted by Cheshta Trivedi under the guidance of Senior Administrator Swati Mehta and Principal Dr. Prabha Sharma. Mrs. Swati Mehta pointed out that these activities are very conducive to all sided development of children.

Disaster Management Activity in Sanskar International School Under the sponsorship of British Council a ‘Disaster Management Activity’ was organised. There was a lively demonstration of natural disaster particularly an ‘Earthquake’. The students of class III to XII took part in the activity. The students practiced how they could manage to save them selves from natural disasters which are unpredictable. This activity of International level was concluded successfully. The mock drill ended with fire evacuation.

Sanskar International School celebrates 21st June as Yoga Diwas. The premises of Sanskar vibrated with yogic exercises a sanskarian view point of patanjali The international day of yoga should not just be a day of exercise but an occasion to introduce people to a better way of life that has a positive and lasting impact on society. Combined with meditation the practice of yoga can lead to benefits that enhance mind, body and soul. According to Patanjali, Yoga is a preventive healing art, with its science and philosophy. Practice of yoga assures us of robust health that alone can let us experience spiritual bliss. Patanjali also warns us of the pitfalls that may impede spiritual growth and advises us to stabilise body and mind so that we are not shattered when confronted with tragic realities of human existence. Yoga is an integrated science which alone can restore the wholeness and integrity of our divided being and lets us enjoy real well being.

ROAD SAFETY PROGRAMME

Students of class IX to XII were briefed about the road safety rules, its observance and awareness in Sanskar International School, Jodhpur. It was explained at length about the fatal accidents occurring in our day to day life and the heart rending news that we come across in the news and news papers. Students were apprised about negligent attitude by not wearing helmet, driving the vehicle at uncontrolled speed and not complying the traffic rules. Many students are not even aware of traffic rules. The programme was organized to enlighten the boys and girls on this important issue. Mandatory use of helmet and traffic rules were emphasized through Audio Visual means. Use of helmet is not burden but a safety measure. Principal Dr. Prabha Sharma explained the aim and objective of this programme and exhorted boys and girls that by taking precautions we can avoid accidents and save human life. She concluded by saying that if we adhere to road safety rules, we can ensure safety of human life.

OXFORD WORK SHOP

A workshop was organized by Oxford University Press in Sanskar International School. The workshop was conducted by Madhu Sharma. She drew attention on various problems related to students. The workshop was opened by lamp lighting and self introduction. The teachers discussed various ways and means to make teaching and academics interesting and entertaining. The need for all sided development of students was emphasized and the teacher?s role and contribution to ameliorate the academic standard. It was also stressed that students develop positive thinking; particularly the tips of positivity were given and eliminate negativity. Collaborative Activity of British Council

Collaborative activities were conducted in the school under the mentorship of Dr. Karuna Mehta as a Resource person. While performance of lunch activity by children of class III, IV and V, the nutritional value of various food products was explained. What the food contains, was analysed and the values for which the particular food is known. A talk by dietician was organized and it was efficiently handled by Dr. Karuna Mehta. The value of food product was explained and children were given ?Do?s and ?Don?ts i.e. what to eat and what to avoid. Class VI to X took part in the talk. An interactive session of documentary film was displayed in the A.V. room. The film threw light on balanced diet, healthy food habits etc. Children of class III to V participated and witnessed the documentary and this added to their knowledge and brought awareness about food and nutrition.

Pre Summer Vacation Bonanza

In keeping with the traditions of Sanskar International School several competition activities were organised in the school. The objective of these activities was to inculcate good habits, positivity and sanskars. The children of class I to V took part in Collaborative activities which included “Fancy Dress Competition”, the theme of which was hygienic fruits, vegetables and tasty eatables. Children dressed in colourful attire appeared on the stage and fascinated by their interesting and entertaining performances and poems. They gave a lively demonstration of their talent.
Lastly, the Principal Dr. Prabha Sharma extended her thanks to the guardians and students and appreciated the efforts of the students and cooperation of parents. While addressing the students, she added that nutritious diet ensures good health and paves the way for a healthy life style. You must possess a health free from diseases. She congratulated all on arrival of summer vacations and gave precautionary tips to save ourselves from scorching heat of May & June.

Earth Day Celebration Week: 22 April to 28 April

In order to celebrate "Earth Day Celebration Week", children actively participated in following activities.
The children of class Ist and IInd took part in seed generation activity and tree plantation. Involvement of children in this activity intensified their knowledge about tree plantation and the natural process of seed germination.
The students of class IIIrd, IVth and Vth knew about the best use of waste material. It was explained to them how best the waste material can be used and various artistic shape can be given to it. And this is the best way of disposing of waste material rather than throwing it.
Class VIth to VIIIth took part in courtesy to bird activity. The students brought earthern pots and filled it with water and grains and this was made a regular routine. The lesson that human beings must have courtesy towards wild life was taught by practically performing above activity.
Keeping in view “Save Earth” theme, poster making competition and collage activity was performed by the students of class IX to XII. Activity so performed gave a message of "Save Earth".
To conclude the Earth Day Celebration the student from class Ist to XII were taken to see “Jungle Book” movie to mark the occasion. It was a thrilling and mesmerising experience for the children

Swimming Activity at Swimming Pool

Children of class Nursery to Prep visited Lariya swimming pool adjacent to school. They were given swimming tips and explained the techniques of swimming. The moment the children started swimming with floaters and other supporting techniques, the fear of drowning in the water disappeared. Contrary to the hesitation of swimming, the children engaged themselves in various water games and enjoyed swimming. The children played with water and performed various water activities. Children overexcited and thrilled by this activity.
Children were made to understand that swimming is the best exercise. The children were motivated to become a good swimmer. During summer season swimming is the best activity.

Annual Function 2015

There is nothing more enticing and thrilling than Annual Function day in the school. This recalls the good old days in school not only to the parents but the entire senior community of society.
Sanskar enacted a long theme better known as ‘Violate Vista’ and displayed how nature has been trampled upon. The theme is a touching lamentation on violation of laws of Nature. on 24th Dec 2015, at the close of 2015 a historical event took place in the Sanskar premises. The event was graced by our chief guest (M.P.) Gajendra Singh Sekhawat, Shri Hanwant Raj ji Mehta, and Chairman and management dignitaries. The Annual Report of School activities was addressed by the principal Dr. Prabha Sharma. We are thankful to the parents who gathered in unprecedented number, teachers and staff for their cooperation and hard work which contributed largely to the grand success of the function.

Saturday - Activity Day

On 31st October 2015 Sanskarians had participated in the Inter House Quiz Competition (classes IV to V) and activities like Nest Making activity (class I), First Aid kit demo (class II and III), Marketing Activity (class IV) and road safety sign (class V). The young ones of Sanskar had tremendous zeal and enthusiasm to perform in the various co curricular activities. The quiz competition was organized by quiz master Mr. Mahendra Vyas and Mrs. Neeraj Sharma and scorer Mrs. Puja Khamesra in which Tilak House was declared the winner, Tulsi and Nehru House were the first runner up and Tagore as second runner up. The programme was anchored by Mrs. Renu Gehlot.
The blooming buds of class I presented a variety of nests. It was a great demonstration to look at Mrs. Harjeet and Ms. Pooja Solanki were supervising of the nest making activity. It enhanced the vision of the students to care for the birds in the adverse weather conditions with the feeling of sympathy towards them.

Inter House English Skit Competition

Inter House English Skit Competition was held in the Sanskar International School as a part of the regular co-curricular activities. The skits were based on the theme of ‘Eco-friendly Diwali’.
The four houses of the school namely Tagore, Tilak, Tulsi and Nehru staged their plays depicting the theme very vividly. It was an effort to create awareness among the students about celebrating the diwali in an eco-friendly way so as to minimize the ill-effects of air pollution.
The students were acquainted with other ways of celebrating Diwali that are conducive to our environment. The participants urged the audience to adopt measures such as saying no to crackers, using recycled materials for wrapping gifts etc. The message conveyed with a tinge of entertainment made the students enlightened about the festival.
The entire programme was anchored by Shreya Goswami (X) and Joslyn Greene (X). The judges for the event were the senior Coordinator Mrs. Deeptin Mutha and Mrs. Shipra Dave. Tulsi House was declared first and Tagore house the second in the competition. At the end, the Principal Mrs. Prabha Sharma shared her views on celebrating a meaningful Diwali. She urged the students to celebrate a safe Diwali.

CBSE Cluster X Foot Ball (Boys) Championship Under-19 At Jhunjhu

Sanskar International School proudly participated in CBSE cluster X football championship held at Jhunjhunu on 6th October 2015. As many as seventeen boys participated in the competition accompanied by expert coaches Mr. C.B. Sharma and Mr. Manohar Singh.
The competition appears to be very keen as sixty four schools are participating. At the inception of the championship, the Head Boy of Sanskar International School Shuddodhan Sharma of Class XI (Humanities) led the march past hoisting the flag of the school. It is expected of the boys to give a tough fight and display their sportsman spirit and skill of the game.

VISIT TO POLICE STATION BY SANSKARIANS

Today on 8th October 2015, the students of class IX and XII visited the nearest police station known as “Rajeev Gandhi Nagar police station located at pal chopsani bye pass road.
The students had an opportunity to interact with S.H.O. Mr. Leela Ram, the incharge of the police station. S.H.O. explained the working of police force to boys and girls. He told how the girls can take precautionary measures for their safety. He gave certain tips to remember and use them at an appropriate time. The girls put certain questions which he answered to their satisfaction. S.H.O. counseled the boys and girls about the traffic rules. He advised them to follow the rules and abide by laws of the land. He told the students not to indulge in any illegal work. He made everyone aware about road safety rules. He also said that as a good citizen you must not fear police and cooperate if any untoward incident occurs. If anything wrong happens, should be reported to police immediately.
Lastly he advised that everyone should have phone nos of local police station. He thanked for visiting police station. Manager Mr. Mukesh Mehta, Principal Dr. Prabha Sharma, Mr. Lalit Gaur and Mrs. Shikha Nigam were present at the police station.

Nainital & Jim Corbett Tour

Recreational tour of Sanskar International School to Nainital proceeded on 8th Oct 2015. Parents, friends and Administrative staff of the school were present sharply at 5 am on the Railway platform of Jodhpur Railway station. Boys and girls proceeding to Nainital were over excited and overjoyed with fanciful ideas.
Parents were seen counselling their sons and daughters to take care during the journey. Students were waiting for timely departure of the train and said good bye to their family and friends.
Morning breakfast, prepared by the school was boarded in the train so that no student would eat anything from outside. Extraordinary preparations were made by the school authorities to ensure safe, comfortable and convenient journey. The entire tour is being escorted and accompanied by experienced and mature faculties of the school. Though the parent became emotional at the time of departure but they had great consolation that their wards would learn to live with cooperation in the company of their classmates. This educational tour would throw an opportunity to students to learn to live away from family and inculcate a sense of self discipline and self management. The success of the tour lies in fulfillment of this aspiration.

How wonderful yellow is

Today on 16th Oct 2015 Sanskarian “Toddlers” celebrated yellow Day. The little ones of P.P. wing had tremendous excitement and anxiety to perform yellow activity. Children created a yellow animal world like yellow birds’ yellow tiger’ yellow Cock’ hen Angry Bird etc. The Children gave various performances clad in yellow dress. It was a grand performance to look at. They Copied Yellow fruits like yellow Banana, Yellow Papaya, Yellow Mango. The Day began with yellow activity involving Yellow objects of various kind. The children brought yellow food from home and dressed in yellow attire celebrated yellow day.
Children also spoke few lines on their yellow attire. The Whole Activity culminated with ‘ Garba Dance’ to mark the beginning of ‘Navratra’.

India is better known as a country of festivals. Dusshera is one of the important festivals in the long chain of festivals which are celebrated throughout the year. Sanskarian Toddlers of preprimary and children of primary sections staged a short play on “Ramayan” Little children played the role of different characters like Ram, Sita, Laxman, Hanuman, Ravan. Children were very much excited and delivered the dialogue that they had memorized
Principal Dr. Prabha Sharma narrated the story in brief of a great battle fought between Ram and Ravan. She explained that Ram represented the forces of good and Ravan is a symbol of evil.
There is a juxtaposition of Good and Evil. But ultimately, Good triumphs over Evil. Ravan is defeated because of his evil. She exhorted the children to acquire good habits in life and abandon evil.
The programme was concluded by burning the effigy of Ravan” by Principal and Senior Administrator Mrs. Swati Mehta. Crackers were blasted on this occasion. The festival was celebrated with enthusiasm and vigour.

Riff Festival Bal Mela

In response to the invitation by ‘Jodhpur RIFF’ Sanskarians from class I to V participated in the folk festival organised by Jodhpur Riff at a very attractive place ‘Veer Durga Das Memorial Park’, at Masuriya Hill, the heart of Jodhpur. The objective of this ‘Bal Mela’ was to familiarize the children with the vanishing art and folk culture of our state. The main attractions of this event were ‘Gher dance, puppet dance, Rajasthani circus and Behrupia and tehratali dance. These performances were not only entertaining for children but also made them aware about the rich heritage of our culture.
The children got an opportunity to visit this memorial park which stand as a symbol of valour and bravery of ‘Veer Durga Das. The children enjoyed the city view from high hill and were astonished to witness the rich folk culture with various dance and music. They were also amused to see the classical music instruments.
The children were escorted by teachers and PRO of the school. Principal Dr. Prabha Sharma explained the children, the importance of cultural heritage of the country and motivated them to appreciate the beauty of various art, culture and performances of folk artists and the rich heritage of the country to which we belong.

Van Mahotsav 2015

Van Mahotsav is an annual tree planting festival in India celebrated in the first week of July. Keeping this in view, children of Sanskar International School from class Ist to Vth were motivated to plant trees. The students of classes were given the responsibility of the plant they had planted and also of taking personal responsibility of that plant for future.
They were educated about plantation and how it can reduce pollution and bring awareness about the various advantages of planting trees, like increasing production, help create shelter belts and offers shade and decorative landscapes.

Career in Defence

A talk by Col. Robby George, Sena Medal in
Sanskar International School, Jodhpur

The morning of 29th July witnessed an emotion packed beginning of the day as the school had a golden opportunity to honour Army Laureate C.O. Col. Robby George (Sena Medal). Captain Sonika Rana, Capt. Gaurav Kaushal, Capt. Abhay Khanduri and Hav. Bishnu Shrestha (Sena Medal), Management dignataries, Principal, teachers and students had the occasion to listen to the experiences of top ones in the Indian Defence services. The officers narrated the stories of adventure, valour and bravery in career in Army. They spoke about vast avenues of jobs in Defence services. The students were motivated to choose a career in Army/Air Force after qualifying XII. Army and Air force offer service career at an early age and inspires the boys and girls to serve the nation with good livelihood options.
The officers enlightened about the adventurous service career coupled with good financial earnings and facilities in (defence) armed forces option is open to choose a way of serving the country with a dignified life style.
The principal Prabha Sharma thanked the military dignataries and appreciated their effort to enlighten and encourage the students to choose a career in Army.

Sanskar Celebrates - 15th August, 69th Independence Day

15th Aug, the 69th Independence Day was celebrated with much fervur and enthusiasm in Sanskar International School. The Celebration commenced with hosting of a tri Colour flag by the chief Guest Mr. T.C. Kothari, the Director of the School.
The programme Comprised of parade, group song, English speech, action song by the tiny tots. Tri Colour dominated the scenario. The office bearers of both the councils were sworn in by the chief guest.
In his ceremonial address Mr. Ramanand ji kabra urged the students to do the best and achieve excellence in their pursuit. The chairman of the school Mr. Rajendra Mehta appreciated the incessant efforts made by the manager of the school to push the school to progress.
Mr. Bhawani Singh ji, Mr. Girish Mehta and Mr. Sagar Kothari graced the occasion. The programme culminated with the speech of Dr. Prabha Sharma, the principal who expressed her thanks to make this celebration a success.
